Then periodically check the water level in the base and add water to the well from the bottom access or from the top of the planter. The soil draws water up from the well as needed using capillary action just like a wick. No more overwatering strong healthy plants is the result! Everyone gets a “green thumb” growing in bamboo planters and just by keeping water in the well! When you are finished with your planter just break it up and put into your compost bin. looks good, but doesn't dispense soap very accurately

The pump got clogged up pretty quickly. Had to hit the pump hard, which caused too much soap to come out, too fast, at unpredictable angles. Also, the "stainless steel" surface stains very easily and once it stains, it seems impossible to clean it adequately. Going to replace it.
